Chat with your transcripts using AI. Ask questions, get summaries, and extract information from your content.
Getting Started with Chat
The AI chat feature allows you to have natural conversations about your transcript content. The AI understands the full context of your transcript and can answer questions, provide summaries, and help you extract information.
How to Use Chat:
- Open your transcript page
- Scroll down to the chat interface at the bottom
- Type your question or message in the input field
- Press Enter or click the send button
- The AI will respond based on your transcript content
Note: Chat access may require a premium plan. Check your plan features in Settings to see if chat is available.
What You Can Ask
Content Questions
Ask about specific topics, concepts, or information mentioned in the transcript:
- "What was discussed about [topic]?"
- "Explain [concept] in simple terms"
- "What are the main points about [subject]?"
Summaries
Request summaries of the entire transcript or specific sections:
- "Summarize this transcript"
- "Give me a brief overview"
- "What are the key takeaways?"
Information Extraction
Extract specific information from the transcript:
- "What action items were mentioned?"
- "List all the dates mentioned"
- "What decisions were made?"
Follow-up Questions
The AI maintains context throughout your conversation, so you can ask follow-up questions:
- "Tell me more about that"
- "Can you elaborate?"
- "What else was said about [topic]?"
Best Practices
- Be Specific: The more specific your question, the better the answer
- Use Context: Reference specific parts of the transcript when asking questions
- Ask Follow-ups: Build on previous answers with follow-up questions
- Try Different Phrasings: If you don't get the answer you want, try rephrasing your question
- Use Natural Language: Chat works best with natural, conversational questions
Limitations
The AI chat is designed to work with your transcript content. It cannot:
- Access information outside of your transcript
- Perform real-time web searches
- Access other transcripts unless you're on a page with multiple transcripts
- Make changes to your transcript
Tip: For best results, ensure your transcript has finished processing completely before using chat.
