Getting Started Tutorial
Follow this step-by-step tutorial to create your first transcription in minutes.
Sign Up and Log In
First, you'll need to create an account. Syncpoly makes this easy with social authentication.
Steps:
- Click the "Login" button in the top-right corner
- Choose your preferred authentication method (Google, GitHub, etc.)
- Complete the authentication process
- You'll be automatically logged in and redirected
Tip: Your account is created automatically when you first authenticate. No separate sign-up form needed!
Prepare Your File
Before uploading, make sure your file is ready. Here's what you need to know:
File Requirements:
- Audio Formats: MP3, WAV
- Video Formats: MP4
- URLs: YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram
- File Size: Check your plan limits
Best Practice: For best accuracy, use clear audio with minimal background noise. Higher quality files produce better results.
Upload Your File
Now it's time to upload your file. You have three options:
Option 1: Drag & Drop
Simply drag your file onto the upload area and drop it.
Option 2: Browse Files
Click "Browse Files" and select your file from your computer.
Option 3: From URL
Switch to "From URL" tab and paste a video link from supported platforms.
Wait for Processing
After uploading, your file will be processed. You can track progress in the header.
What Happens:
- File is uploaded to secure servers
- Video files are converted to extract audio
- Audio is transcribed using AI technology
- You'll receive a notification when complete
Processing Time: Short files (under 5 minutes) typically take 1-2 minutes. Longer files take proportionally longer.
View Your Transcript
Once processing is complete, you can view and use your transcript.

- View the full transcript with timestamps
- Search for specific words or phrases
- Chat with AI about your content
- Generate questions and quizzes
- Create AI breakdowns
- Download in multiple formats
