Getting Started
Learn the basics of Syncpoly and create your first transcription in minutes.
Create an Account
To get started with Syncpoly, you'll need to create an account. This allows us to securely store your transcripts and provide you with access to all features.
How to Sign Up:
- Click the "Login" button in the top-right corner of the page
- Choose your preferred authentication method (Google, GitHub, etc.)
- Complete the authentication process
- You'll be automatically redirected back to Syncpoly
Note: Your account is created automatically when you first authenticate. No separate sign-up form is required.
Upload Your First File
Once you're logged in, you can start uploading files. Syncpoly supports both audio and video files, as well as URLs from popular platforms.
Upload Methods:
- Drag & Drop: Simply drag your file onto the upload area on the home page
- Browse Files: Click "Browse Files" to select a file from your computer
- From URL: Switch to the "From URL" tab and paste a link from YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram
Supported Formats: MP3, WAV for audio; MP4 for video; YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram URLs
Wait for Processing
After uploading, your file goes through several processing stages. You can track the progress in real-time using the upload indicator in the header.
Processing Stages:
- Pending: File is queued for processing
- Uploading: File is being uploaded to secure servers
- Converting: Video files are converted to extract audio
- Processing: Audio is transcribed using AI technology
- Completed: Your transcript is ready!
Processing Time: Typically 1-2 minutes for short files (under 5 minutes), 3-10 minutes for medium files (5-30 minutes), and longer for very long files. Processing time is generally proportional to audio length.
View Your Transcript
Once processing is complete, you'll be notified and can view your transcript. Click on the file in your transcripts list to access it.
What You Can Do:
- View the full transcript with timestamps
- Search for specific words or phrases
- Chat with the AI about your transcript
- Generate questions and quizzes
- Create AI breakdowns
- Download in multiple formats (VTT, SRT, TXT)
